This page is for the Suzuki Hayabusa or B-king owner who bought
their bikes for the performance as well as the cosmetics
but are not satisfied with the cramped rider position. To skirt
the problem there are expensive replacements and less expensive
Buell Pegs one can order. The actual Buell peg is not an
exact fit therefore requiring grinding and drilling. For those
of you who want a reasonably priced set of lowered pegs and do
not want to open your own machine shop for the day look no
farther. I stumbled across this great Buell peg kit in the
Hayabusa.org forum. Joe
Satterwhite has produced a direct replacement part with the same
lowered attributes as the Buell peg and no machining required.
Joe has assembled a kit complete with instructions for under
$100. The pegs install easily with some adjustments required
for the shift lever and brake lever. The estimated installation
time is 30 minutes. Since my wife and kids have purchased the
pegs for my Christmas present I am not able to show you pictures
of the pegs I received. No, and not until after Christmas as
they were quicker then I when
they arrived so they are wrapped,
placed under the tree and guarded 7X24! What I can show you are
links from the
Hayabusa.org forum. In fact if
your curious browse through the forum an see what folks have to
say. It's all positive feed back. If your like me, you are tired
of the cramped rider position and all it takes is that little
extra to make a world of difference. I have installed the pegs
on my 2008 Suzuki B-King and I am very impressed. The machine
work is great! The parts all fit like a glove and look better on
the bike then the OEM pegs. Installation was approximately 30
minutes and the instructions were detailed and easy to follow.
Allot of part manufacturers could learn a thing or two after
looking over this kit. recent snow has kept me from a long range
road test but as soon as I can I plan to give the pegs a good
run and I will be adding the information good or bad to this
page. I can tell you just from sitting on the bike the lower
knee position really is a big difference. Stay tuned folks! I have been in contact
with Joe and he has provided his contact information. See below.
